This is a well written piece. As I white woman I would never use that term. Why? Because it’s not my place! It’s a word that was actively used by white people AGAINST people of colour. It has horrific connotations and I would never use it regardless of “permission” or anyone else using it. I’m also with you, why would anyone want to use it?
