Hi everyone, I’m making a slightly different post from my normal ones today. I plan to focus on what I can do to make progress towards better health — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

My life has been difficult for a long time. I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, and I’m tired literally all the time. There is no amount of sleep that improves things. I have had asthma since I was 4 (I suspect due to my mother and stepfather smoking around me), and after being stable for decades, it’s been worse lately. I have type 2 diabetes, which is probably weight-related.

Most importantly, though, and a major topic of this blog, I have depression. I suspect I have persistent depressive disorder, also called dysthymia. I definitely have periods of moderate to severe depression. I have struggled with my mood ever since I was 15, possibly even before that.

All this to say, my life has been a struggle for many years. That’s without the last 18 months, which have been nothing short of a massive shitstorm. Things were bad enough when I wrote the linked post, and they have gotten substantially worse.

Wait, Is This A Trauma Dump?
