I agree with many of your points and just haven’t loved Picard the way i wanted to. In my case it’s because I HATED Jurati and found her so utterly insipid and annoying. I’m also disappointed they’ve done away with Elnor for season 3 as I feel he was woefully underused and could have been a great character. Instead we return to what will basically be TNG season 8.

I’m sorry you couldn’t get into Deep Space Nine. It is far and away my favourite Star Trek and the story arcs for many of the characters is incredibly compelling. May I humbly suggest you give it another go? I think it’s a masterpiece of story telling.

Finally, I love The Orville too :)
