Better Sleep Week 1 — Positive Results?

Hi everyone. I wrote a little while ago about my scary plans to do a masters conversion with a view to becoming a psychologist. The big problem is that I’m not in great shape physically, emotionally, or mentally. My plan was to work on improving my health before enrolling for the conversion around June next year. After some thought, I decided the most important thing to focus on with sleep. My sleep quality is absolutely atrocious, and my sleep quantity isn’t much better. This affects every part of my life and makes having energy to build a proper study habit incredibly difficult.

So, I decided better sleep was the way to go. I set myself a goal of going to bed with lights out by 11:30 pm every night and decided not to change anything else just to get a baseline. The $64,000 question is, how did I get on? Let’s check it out below.

Better Sleep — The Results

It’s only my first week of attempting to get better sleep so I wasn’t expecting miracles. All the guides about better sleep stress the importance of going to bed at the same time each night. I chose 11:30 for my first week. I’m supposed to get up at the same time too but I’m not voluntarily getting up early on the weekends. Not til I’ve tried other things. Here is how I got on.
